Role Overview

We are now seeking an experienced and proactive Service/Workshop Manager to lead our workshop operations and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction. As the Service/Workshop Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our busy workshop, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and the delivery of top-notch services. You will lead a team of skilled mechanics, MOT Testers, technicians, manage customer relationships, and ensure all vehicles are serviced to the highest standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, motivate, and support a team of Mechanics, MOT testers and technicians to meet performance goals and deliver excellent service.
  • Oversee scheduling, workload allocation, and workshop activities to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
  • Act as the main point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Conduct quality checks on completed jobs to ensure they meet company and industry standards.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels of parts and tools to avoid delays and ensure seamless operations.
  • Track workshop performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary changes.
  • Control operational costs and contribute to financial planning to maintain profitability.
  • Foster strong relationships with suppliers and partners to enhance service efficiency.

 

 Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Service Manager, Workshop Manager, or similar role in the automotive industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of vehicle repair and maintenance processes.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with workshop management software and tools.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations in a workshop setting.
  • A proactive and results-driven attitude.
  • Full UK driving license.

This dual-role position is ideal for a professional with expertise in both automotive electrical systems and vehicle software development. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in diagnosing, repairing, and optimizing vehicle systems to meet modern industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair electrical issues in vehicles, including wiring, circuits, and electronic control systems.
  • Install, repair, and maintain vehicle accessories such as alarms, GPS systems, and multimedia systems.
